I met Bill at Weymouth Country Club. We hit it off quickly. The Ignatius connection (although he often reminded me I was an “underclassman”) and our love of the game of golf.
We played a lot of golf together both casually and competitively. Bill made the round fun for hose in his group. That didn’t mean he didn’t want to win. He played hard and to win. At the end of the round, there was a gentleman’s handshake win or lose.
Our Sunday group started an end of year tournament we call the “Fall Classic” Bill was the proud winner of the title with Randy Lane in back to back years (2018, 2019)
